Flooring & Polisher/Buffing Person
We have an open position for a dependable and experienced (or some experience) Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person to join our team. Our company provides superior flooring installation & polishing/buffing services to our clients in condos and luxury homes, and we are seeking a candidate who will dedicate their best abilities to help you grow professionally and financially as the company grows. As a Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person, you will be part of a team that takes pride in itself and our workmanship. A candidate can expect to work with hard-working individuals that create a stable work environment.
An applicant should have experience, and be detail-oriented, committed, and professional to succeed in this role. We work with people in their homes and rental properties, and our Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person has to provide a safe and healthy atmosphere for them and themselves. Our Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person must be able to work accurately and precisely to ensure complete satisfaction. Candidates must work well with others to complete the job. We are looking for a Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person, who works hard to provide fantastic service to exceed customers’ expectations. You must be able to handle the heavy lifting of buckets, furniture, tile, and other materials and tools of the flooring industry.
Starting pay is $17.00 an hour with a pay increase after the 90-day probationary period, possibly sooner based on your skillset. If you have your own tools this could also increase your starting pay.
Monday thru Friday (a rare Saturday) 07:30 am to 16:00. 2- 15 min breaks and 30 min lunch, weekly pay.
Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person, Duties & Responsibilities
- Arrive at each flooring job on time
- Adequately set up tools and materials.
- Ensure that workspace is safe for you and others
- Properly cover areas with plastic to avoid damage.
- Review all materials and tools to complete a flooring job.
- Be responsible for tools and flooring materials.
- Work efficiently and carefully not to damage customers’ property.
- Wear all safety and protective gear
- Accurately measure areas for flooring installation.
- Install flooring materials
- Properly handle and administrate flooring material.
- Clean up after every flooring job
- Ensure you have every tool and equipment in your possession
- Take direction from Installer/Owner
Flooring & Polishing/Buffing Person Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- Social Security Card
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs
- Must be able to handle hard labor
- 1-2 years of flooring experience
- Must have knowledge and experience installing various flooring materials
